  1. Bus Spring Pick 2018

They have a system pick every 2 years.
  2. Bus Spring Pick 2018

With this system pick could the other side of 95th terminal opening soon could this play a role in why they had this system pick happened for buses? I know this could've played a role for the system pick for rail.
  3. Bus Spring Pick 2018

The reason why there isn’t enough work on State is because a lot of runs out of 103rd does a trip on State. I heard CTA wanted more senior operators on State and they wouldn’t pick it because there wasn’t enough money and CTA wouldn’t put more money on the runs on State so they figured they would put a trip on a half of a run. A full trip on State is somewhere btw 2 and 2 and a half hours round trip.
  4. Bus Spring Pick 2018

Well they did extend the #4 to 115th I have a feeling 103rd might have trips on Cottage Grove or send the whole route to 103rd, and send the 29 back 77th St since the garage is a couple of blocks away.
  5. 2016 South Side Service Changes

I finally rode 31st today and it has potential in becoming a permanent route. I rode from The Red Line to 31st and Rhodes. I hope I'm wrong about the 95 because there is a reason why they split up the original 95th route because if they get caught by a train at the church or Vincennes the operator(s) are screwed.
  6. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

Finally rode a new Nova out of Forest Glen. Rode 8253 on the 206 this afternoon with the cloth seats. I've ridden the new Novas out of every garage that is assigned to them except the ones from 74th.
  7. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

103rd maybe the junk garage since they have most of the older New Flyers and the operators are complaining how raggedy they are. I will agree because some of those buses sound horrible.
  8. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

Seeing that CTA are replacing the old Novas with new ones and seeing that 77th, 74th, and Chicago are equipped with Novas and seeing that Forest Glen got the last batch of 6400's when they were placed in service and how the older Novas that are being replaced, those factors played a role in my prediction.
  9. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

I made that prediction and the prediction came true.
  10. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

That makes sense to train them on Novas because they do borrow either from 77th or 74th.
  11. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

Since FG operators are training on the new Novas my prediction is about to come true. I knew CTA was going to follow the sequence of how they did the 6400's series. As far 103rd getting Novas that's clearly not going to happen because I didn't hear any 103rd operators talking about training on them. Also not all of those new Novas can't replace the old ones, so they're going to need some more NF's to cover some of those runs.
  12. Spring Pick 2016

I bet you that's why they moved the 120, 121, 125, and 157 to make room at Kedzie for 31st.
  13. Spring Pick 2016

Any updates on other routes besides 120, 121, and 125 going to other garages?
  14. Spring Pick 2016

They probably will because an operator told me that everything is somehow interlined with King Drive and Cottage Grove, so I'm not surprised.
  15. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

Once Chicago get 8199, 8200 and the rest of the Nova fleet will more than likely go to Forest Glen and wouldn't be surprised if Forest Glen also got some New Flyers.
