  1. White House pushes ban on Chinese-made buses, rail cars http://www.rollcall.com/news/policy/white-house-pushes-ban-on-chinese-made-buses-rail-cars
  2. I was reading on a Facebook post in Metra Rail group that Metra locomotives 204 and 205 may have been involved in an accident. In Sherwood Tennessee, A Train derailed caring soybean and lumber. However, it was also hauling the two locomotives bound for Progress Rail. Now I was skeptical at first. But in the news article, you can see the front end of 204. 205 was facing a different direction behind 204 and is not seen in the photo. Complete details are sketchy but you can judge for yourself. If you look in the second photo of the attached to link, you can see, in the upper left-hand corner, what is presumed 204. http://www.heraldchronicle.com/trail-derails-near-sherwood/

  6. Now the new and improved Milwaukee Lines... Metra now in process of updating Milw North and West including ties between Libertyville and the Glen... just to mention a highlight. Spend it while ya got it !!! http://www.progressiverailroading.com/passenger_rail/news/Metra-to-replace-ties-switches-along-Milwaukee-District-lines--44136?email=dwgerdts%40yahoo.com&utm_medium=email&utm_source=prdailynews&utm_campaign=prdailynews04%2F13%2F15
  7. When I was a charter driver, I used to love to get into it with cabbies at Palmer House when pickup on Wabash. They either blocked the curb or double parked... blocking me in. The only justice I ever saw was a cab getting busted by CPD for turning right in front of my bus while picking up passengers on 8th and Michigan. This was a once in a lifetime event. Just thought they had a quota to fill.

Lets start the day off with a fresh accident. Some light damage to 1415. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2014/11/25/7-hurt-when-car-crashes-into-building-in-humboldt-park/ -or- http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-7-hurt-after-car-crashes-into-building-in-east-garfield-park-20141125-story.html
  9. Was this the run operated by Pace Northwest.... (as you pointed out to me in an earlier post) ?
  10. So, when PACE has the penny rides on New Years, there's an actual route that qualifies ??!
  11. Don't know if I installed right..... Getting some error messages at free roam start-up
  12. I have just moved to Phoenix Arizona Beginning of July and just rode a Gillig. I kind of like them. Pace , as you may remember, operated Gilligs in Waukegan. Yeah, it's not the city but they operated just fine in the snow. In my opinion they were better buses than the NABI's they have now. But, I do think RTA in general, is stuck in their ways with buying cheap and stick with the low bidders which is usually ElDo and New Flyer.
