  1. More Bus Moves

That's a really good question, besides the exterior difference it is in fact a difference between 7900-8324 and 8325-42. The difference is the braking which is different from the older 7900's. 7900's breaking are more sensitive and take some getting used to while 8325's are more like the new flyers articulated buses as far as breaking is concerned a great improvement of the newer Novas. I wouldn't be surprised if cta were to get more novas in the near future to replace the new flyers 1000 series. Probably half novas and half flyers.
  2. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

I honestly believe that's what's going to happen.
  3. More Bus Moves

I understand your point and my apologies for jumping the gun. I'm 33 and I been a member on here since I was 23 lol so now I feel old considering you're 21 👍🏽😄.
  4. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

Not gonna happen unless 3 gets more Novas from another garage. K may get their novas from Chicago or FG. I only say that because it wouldn't make sense for the operators to go through all that training only to have them get rid of the few novas 103rd have. 7903-04 are back at 77th. But I do see why you said what you said though considering K has 8342. Perhaps they'll get 8342-49.
  5. More Bus Moves

Lol this youngster knows what he's talking about that's for sure especially being a bus operator and knowing operators currently out of Kedzie who said they're about to start getting trained on the Nova bus.
  6. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

After all operators and mechanics over there have been trained on them 👍🏽👍🏽
  7. More Bus Moves

That's not going to happen. 103rd just got Novas and I mean that in a general sense. It wouldn't make sense at all for them to just give them away like that unless we got more novas from another garage as a replacement which would make more sense. I've said this a while back but with Kedzie being next to recieve Novas I think all garages will have them NP included and if that happens I think itll be more of an even spread amongst the 450 unless FG lose all their Novas for some reason which that'll be 75 per garage. Or Chicago may keep 100, 74th 90, and the other 3 would have 52 each.
  8. More Bus Moves

I would hope Chicago since they have the most Novas out the 5 current garages and 74th having the 2nd most. I doubt 103rd because we only have 18 of the newest and 20 total.
  9. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

I hate to say it but that just might happen. I don't know why things are the way they are when it comes to cta and how FG end up with the buses they do. But I think FG will end up having all flyers the same as they had all 6400 Novas. And the 7900's they do have will get split up perhaps between 103rd and Kedzie depending on how many they're suppose to get. Or maybe all 7 garages will have Novas and will get about 60 each in the near future.
  10. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

Kedzie will be the next garage to get Novas 👍🏽.
  11. 8325-Series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

I doubt that's a 7900 series but It kinda looks like the new flyer 700 series all electric xcelsior bus from here but without the green or blue color scheme they came in.
  12. Flxible Metro B and E Garage Assignment

I definitely know the difference between each bus. I was referring to the style of design as far as how they all share that window design. I was asking was it a particular name for that design or type of front end that these 3 different brands of buses share. For instance we all know what the fish bowl bus is based on how it looks but I wanted to know what's the name of this style of bus or if there's a name for it at all.
  13. 8325-Series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

That's a good question that I wonder too. If I was to take a stab at it I'd say the moves were based on the decisions of general managers of each garage or perhaps made by people in higher positions. I'll try to find out by asking around 👍🏽👍🏽
  14. 8325-Series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

I believe so too but we'll see. I think it would be cool if Chicago and 74th Could send some to 103rd as well since they're both over 100 Novas. Share the wealth lol. The spring pick for the bus side goes in effect March 31st keep your eyes open for more potential bus moves.
  15. 8325-Series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

8339 is finally in service as a 95. I not sure I've ever seen that bus in service before and to be honest I never seen it in the garage neither. Either way it's good to see it finally.
  16. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

7904 is back in service currently as a 95. That bus was M.i.a for a while so it's good to see it again.
  17. 8325-Series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

Hey did you happen by any chance to see 8339 as well? That's another bus that hasn't been seen in a while as well.
  18. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

7904 has been M.I.A for some time now. I haven't seen it in the garage or nothing. I'll check 77th to see if it's on the fence or perhaps returned to 77th I'm not sure.
  19. 8325-Series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

A training bus for who? He's right they're the same as 7900's for the exception of the tinted hopperless window and the interior like he described 👍🏼. My guess it's still at 77th but not as s training bus probably still getting programmed then afterwards then sent to FG and their mechanics can handle it from there.
  20. 8325-Series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

It's a chance they could go anywhere but they'll be at 103rd for the time being.
  21. CTA Bus Garage Rosters

1026-27 are both at 74th, They been there since late 2017.
  22. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

I agree with back and forth but not the belittling. I have the upmost respect for Bus Hunter, 5750 and every 1 on this page despite our differences of opinions I would never belittle no one 😊👍🏽. But I hear you tho and agree.
  23. 8325-Series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

I've noticed that the 8325's are mostly spent on the 95, 119, and 71. With a sprinkle of 28,15, and 106 lol.
  24. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

Lol I agree 77th is worse than 103rd lol the 3, 4 and 79th alone are the reasons I stayed away from that garage myself and I was born and raised around those very routes lol. We have our routes too lol. Ever heard of the 34, 119, 71, 103, 15 or 95?? Just to name a few and no you did NOT throw in that coffee incident to prove how "Rough" FG is 🤣🤣🤣👍🏽. If you read my previous post I already told you i drove up north before and i know people outta both FG and NP also. And need I remind YOU I never disagree with how busy that treacherous 77 is lol. Busy and dangerous are 2 different things lol. 95th terminal is new but with the same old things that happens there too as far as people are concerned wait till summer time lol. I'll even argue that 103rd is just as rough as 77th and 74th if I were to be honest. I've seen crazy stuff happen at 103rd than I have at 74th.
  25. 7900-series Nova LFS - Deliveries & Assignments

    Exactly lol. But 74th should have 112 that's including 8212-23 👍🏽.
