Is it just me or is the bus in this attached Chicago Tribune article a 30' El Dorado numbered 2828 and if so, when did pace acquire it?

4 buses (2826-9) were acquired for Fox Valley (Aurora) at the time some FV buses were sent to Downers Grove when the cutaways were pulled from there. You can search the forum for the date. Also it is a 32' bus.

2826-2829 entered service in Aurora March 2012 same month as the two Orion VII hybrids 2830, 2831 in Highland Park.

It looks like the final resting place for the Orions are going to be at SW.  I'm sure 6072-6116 are beginning to croak, so the good remaining Orions at NW (and possibly West) appears to be heading to SW.  I'm sure more of the 6140s-6153 that are still active will probably head there too.

That seems fairly obvious, but the real question being that since Pace priorities currently are at NW (Ii-90 and Pulse), and dribbling the CNGs into S, what the real plan for SW is. Of course, with the 2016 budget indicating 72 buses (plus 3  MCIs), and apparently 25 buses (up to 6509) having been delivered and acknowledged so far, potentially that still leaves 47. However, the problem is that Pace has never been transparent about exercising options.

I believe I saw 6565 leaving Davis CTA as a 213 this morning about 8:25am

It's not on WebWatch, but there also appears to be a ghost bus (only 2 buses on a route that needs 3). Should be a bus arriving at Northbrook Court to leave at 11:02, but the map doesn't show it.

Based on my experience in trying to chase 6482, I'm not chasing this one.

Maybe they are starting to purge the nabis. #6565 seems high enough that it may not be a sw destined bus. That would be 40 something buses into that  delivery for sw. They probably don't need them that high. Question is what about north?

You are correct that that would be 44 buses, and as my added allusion to 6482 indicates, NS is about the only garage that gets a short series (and there hasn't been an explanation for SW being stuck at 6542).

North might be that the 6200s may be due for replacement, but I am pretty sure that the reference to 35' buses in the 2017 budget (which would need a new contract) is for North.

The budget also leaves open whether allocations are already being affected by the 53 2600s to be moved elsewhere when the "small buses" are delivered. Also, it would seem that W would need a path to disposing of its Orion VIs, although it was assumed it would get the blue NABIs back.

Yeah west would be the next question but it does sound like they get the blue #6262's. Ns sounds like the next in line then. I would purge all nabis from ns and send the #6262's to west. It almost sounds like all that is left is north. They must be the fg of pace. Could be this bus order stops before #6599, so there will be no #6600 double bus conflict.

At this point I have a hard time figuring out the end result of what will happen at NS, given what @renardo870 just posted, and that NS would be the logical destination of some of the displaced 2600s, given, at a minimum it once had about 21 and now has about 12. Similar issue with the number of 2700s moved out of NW.
