Yeah 5750, I've seen so many back door trades at fg I can't help but be skeptical. Hence my aggravated post. I had went to the glen that night to see no new buses except 8340 in the 3rd yard. It has something wrong with it. At south shops it was on the side and I didnt see a farebox. This morning a few new buses are on the streets of fg 8348 which still has a delivery paper in its front window which makes me wonder how fresh it is on the 77. 8344 was out this morning on the 77.  8347 is carrying a 77 sign on foster now in service. 8335 and 8337 are also at the glen it appears just a few went to 103rd. Some seem to have come back like. 8347. I noticed 8236-47 went out to 103rd so fg also lost 8200s. Dont know if they are short or not. Why didnt chicago send some 8200s south. Boggles the mind but it makes it look like fg is getting the short end of the stick.

FG got 1034-45 from 103rd even swap as far as numbers are concerned. But FG still have more new buses than old novas lol. Definitely more new novas than 103rd that's for sure.

Ok I'm at fg now. #8331 and #8332 are on the Armstrong fence now. #8341 has joined #8340 in the 3rd yard. I'm trying to figure this bus swap out but I cant just like cta usually does bus swaps sightings are sporadic. Dont know what 8325s are at 103rd.

As far the numbers it does figure out but what buses are going to retired? There is no spare ratio. They cant get rid of the 77 6400s because it will create a shortage. Maybe 103rd is having show and tell but these new buses are way off the original spec. I can see why they delayed them going into service. It's like a new model.

I'll be out in the field later maybe I can get some pics before they all go 103rd because i dont know what's going to happen.

All 8325's went to FG. We just traded 12 for 12 that's all ??. Yall got more flyers but have all 25 new buses. I'm sorta thinking that 74th and Chicago both will send their 8200's over to 103rd in exchange for more flyers. Then that'll give us 8200-47. But then again that may be a bit of a stretch lol. 1148 was on route 67 today which is weird.

This morning no Novas below 6675 were out on the maths22 bustracker. This afternoon the oldest left (6466) is the only bus below 6677 out. There were 20 Novas below 6675, two of them 6576/7 do not appear to have been out since late last month, so that is 17 missing so far today that were out last week. There were 16 8325s out at 8am this morning (8326, 8327, 8330, 8331, 8332, 8333, 8335, 8336, 8337, 8338, 8342, 8343, 8344, 8345, 8347, 8348), another 8334 is out now, 8335 is no longer out, all the rest including 8331 & 8332 are out.

With your sightings in the 3rd yard of 8340, 8341 the only ones not seen at, or on F routes are 8325, 8328, 8329, 8339, 8346 and 8349.

You are correct they cannot get rid of 77 6400s but it looks like they will get rid of the oldest 17 plus maybe a few others that are failing.

If 103rd is getting more 7900s they will probably be from the 8200-8250 batch with slippy plastic seats, with 1000s going in the other direction to F, C, 6. This should be looked at as separate to the 8325s but not carried out until the 8325s entered service.

8236 -8247 are at 103rd already. 8250 was at the glen. I dont get why the chicago blue seat buses didnt move but it is what it is. #1043 was having mechanical problems earlier at jeff pk. When I shot 8338

This series of bus swaps may not be over yet. If more than just a few units are involved, the trades usually take place over a few weekends, generally overnight Friday into Saturday. Busfan2847's speculation kind of makes sense, especially the swap between 103 and C. Incidentally, FG had a net gain of 13 Nova Smart Buses: from a total of 89 to 102.

If I was to take a guess as to where the 8325's are going this is where I would guess and my reasons why. My 1st guess would be 103rd while sending 25 new flyers (1034-58 25 buses total) to FG to rid of some 6400's. 103rd in all honesty could use them more than fg considering we have more rougher routes than FG and I also know they won't be used just for night cars. 2nd guess is 77th since historically they seem to always get new equipment 1st and would send 7901-02 and 05-25 over to 103rd. My 3rd guess is FG get the new Novas which would get rid of some of the old novas. Either way FG is getting more buses sent their way to get rid of those 6400's.

Lol looking back I guess I was sorta right about this with the most recent activity ??.

After seeing 8333 and 37 on the 29 and on the 106 I gotta admit I'm not a fan of those signs lol the those fonts on the side as well look horrible!! Remind me of bus 1249. I hated driving that bus because of the sign alone lol. Also I saw 8327 I believe on the 111A but the signs weren't showing at all on that bus.

Honestly more needed at Pace West!!!

Yup, I live in the West area and we have the old NABI buses, and I got on 6265 today, and it was still running like it should but at Lake & Elmwood, we got a hard brake when someone crossed Elmwood. Those old Novas were not dying but were roaring when I rode them in the summer.

I Wonder how those buses would look on the X9, X49, or J14.
