Yeah but the #6262's are probably ancient history soon at ns. Something has to replace the #6600's and those are it.

I suspect south's #6162's were so bad they had to send them #6268. Probably the rest of the #6262's are headed to west. As more #6700's show up they'll (the #6262's) probably be going to north to relieve them of the #6600's.

My question is does ridership demand 40 footers on the Shuttle bugs (outside of Allstate)?  I'm curious as to why more 2600s aren't up there?  I do see some 40 foot Nabis on some of those routes so I didn't know if the demand was there for them.

I can't see 6262s heading to North to replace the 6600s unless it's for school runs, which some 6200s run those routes normally, unless demand is higher.   The 6262s are coming up on 12 years old and even though the magic number is 13, Pace could be accelerating retirement of NABIs as a whole and replacing the entire fleet with El Dorado sooner than later.

It probably isn't Allstate. The issue is how many riders pile on at Lake Cook Metra, especially for Discover. Discover was split between 631 (a 40 foot bus, with Wolters Kluwer) and 627 (a 30 foot bus with Takeda). Walgreens was a big draw, but is now split between 633 and 634. Whatever became of Hewitt used to be a big draw, but pulled out of the TMA.Baxter (632) appears to be served by a 30 foot bus.

I still think you are jumping the gun. NABIs are on Shuttle Bug routes, and I don't think Pace is going to lock a 6700 in the Lake Cook cage for a week at a time. On the other hand, morning 626s are all Axess, which could be a foreshadowing of BOS.

Well this is odd....6708 on a shuttle bug???

#6265 and #6270 are at West. Currently on #320 and #319 respectively.

#6265 was the only Blue Nabi I didn't see on Webwatch yesterday at NS so I suspected that it was on the move.  Thought #6270 would've been at West sooner, but there's still several blue Nabis at South still as of yesterday.

In which that's unreal because I would thought it'll be the more CNGs come the more Nabi's to go to West consistently.

Other than if it contradicts what I said about locking them up, no, as a 40 ft. bus is sometimes on that route.

Based on WebWatch at 4:25, 6708 is now on 423, but 6709 is on 635.

Also, for a coincidence related to @garmon757's post: in 2005, when Pace said that the first blue NABIs were going to West, I said no, because I saw 6265 on 635. Well, I guess no longer.

Based on a quick look at Webwatch, still about 14 to go.

14 is an interesting number because South still has 11 6262s they can give to West but I speculating West will also get #6232 #6241-45 #6250 and #6254 from South while North gets the remains from South. However, the problem is North Shore because they're trying to clean house by letting their NABIs go. It will be a major problem is North doesn't clean house by letting majority of their 6600s go and doesn't get some buses from North Shore or South. Doesn't anybody know what happened to #6247 #6249 and #6253?

#6247 and #6249 should be at West.  #6253 should be at NS unless it is on the move.

I went by Lake Cook, and the cage is down.* Hence, we'll have to wait until April to test this theory, by when this topic will be radically different.**

_______________

* Based on WebWatch sightings above, for at least a week, I bet.

** Between BOS, 6700 deliveries being completed, etc.

That was fast, I rode it last night on the 352.

Can't be accurate, it's on the 349 right now on Webwatch.

The South Nabis are dwindling fast too.  As of the 5pm rush hour today, only the following Nabis are currently out:

2003 Nabis:  6192. 6242, 6243, 6651, & 6659

2006 Nabis:  6269, 6278, 6283, 6303

The 2006s are probably heading to West soon.  The 17500s are up to 17560 by my last count so if there's still 11 to go, all of these buses will be moved or retired.  I'm sure there are spares still out there that are Nabis, but I can't imagine there are very many of them left.
