At least their web site indicates that it has been updated in 2011, and makes reference to 2012 products. However, reports about what happened in New Jersey don't seem to support their statement that "The Engineers at MTS have successfully built a reliable bus ..." Looks like, from Google, that any discussion about proposals to NY are on the chat forums, rather than official. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Busjack Posted April 13, 2012 Author Report Share Posted April 13, 2012 Maybe related to this thread, but probably not, is a video going around on the TV and YouTube of a Vietnamese police officer hanging onto the front of a bus to give the driver a ticket. My first impression, on seeing the TV version was "they are using RTSs." However, from the YouTube from the Russian propaganda machine, it has a Hyundai logo, while Daewoo (now known in Korea as Chevrolet) actually had the rights to the RTS. They must didn't get the memo that Chicago no longer uses RTS buses and hasn't for done so for four years given their video states that model is used heavily in Chicago among the list of cities the narrator rattles off. The video also says RTS models are so sturdy that they are the last in a TA's fleet to get replaced. Again not true for Chicago since CTA's RTS-08s were their first 1990s buses to get completely retired and sent to the shredder. We all know CTA retired them in 2008 while the Flx's bought the same year as the RTSs (1991) and their earlier model 1995 New Flyers both managed to survive into 2009 and their later model 1995 Flx's survived into 2010.
