SE CTA Fan
Does anyone recall the somewhat strange rooftop graffiti / art that was comprised of white lines painted in a geometric pattern that appeared on roofs along the right of way, especially the Red / Howard line north of Lawrence? I am looking for a photo of this graffiti as I recall always seeing it and am hoping to include it on my CTA themed train layout. I'm certainly not debating as to whether this was art or vandalism, but I just remember always seeing it along the right of way. I did find an old Tribune article that interviewed the "artist", but there were no photos. Granted, this is an odd request, but if you rode the Howard back then, you couldn't help but see it. Thanks in advance, SE CTA Fan / Terry
SE CTA Fan
Well, thanks all for looking. I guess I represent an odd time in CTA history, maybe from 1987 through 1995. Not the best time, but interesting none the less. If I recreate the graffiti, I'll let you all know. SE CTA Fan
Kimball
Did you ever find anything more about this? I remember that strange line art very well and have looked without success for surviving examples. I am interested to know if you found any pictures or information. Thanks!
