Has anyone seen the movie called "Sky Heist" the movie stars the late Frank Gorshin as an RTD bus driver. He plans a gold heist using a GMC old look bus disguised as a U.S. Navy bus. The bus is completely painted over navy gray. Once they rob the gold shipment from an aircraft they make their escape. As they hide the bus in an old warehouse where a crew is standing by with water hoses to wash off the paint and reveal the bus underneath, an SCRTD bus numbered #8481. The movie does some good camera work as we watch the old GM through many scenes including an awesome road block crash. An RTD bus yard (West Hollywood) which in reality would be todays's MTA Division 7, is shown with some yard footage. The yard footage reveals some good shots of RTD GMC fishbowls lined up and you can see a few Flx new looks. Although this bus was not a real RTD bus, it was a good mock up of one. The bus is shown parking next to real RTD GMC old looks, 5100 series. If you havent seen this movie, get it. Its a good movie if you like to see old RTD buses like I do.
