Guest
Anyone know which garage the movie Stranger than Fiction was filmed out of? I know that some of the buses seen in the movie were Novas out of Chicago Ave. and a real CTA operator was used in the filming. Denise Hughes I believe is the operator out of Chicago Ave. The SunTimes did a story about her role in a movie as well as working as CTA bus driver. I didnt see the whole movie but I saw enough that they show quite a bit of CTA scenes using Novas and Nabi Artics. There was a scene I recall where some humor was made regarding the pivoting section of the artics. Will Ferrell is trying to speak to a woman on the bus, as he is sitting in the pivot seats, trying to speak to the woman passenger, the bus keeps making a series of turns, its pretty humorous to watch. Good CTA scenes!
busfan4022
In the scene where the poster above was talking about with the NABI. The bus number was 7603. It also sounded slightly different from when I ride it. o_O? If anyone cares to see click here

Good CTA scenes! THe Novas look naked without the bike racks and CTA gear removed. I'm still looking for that pay phone in the tunnel between red/blue line tracks....
