Bus Depot by Depot (Garage by Garage) Roster Updated at TTMG WikiMy
VintageSoul replied to VintageSoul's topic in CTA Bus
I don't know all the details surrounding those 8 buses now retired, but it must've been catastrophic enough to take them out of passenger service. Also, I was in Chicago recently, those 1995 Flxibles ride ROUGH! Not all of them, but a GREAT portion of them. We have 20 year old Flxibles running here in the NY Metro Area and they ride like the day they were new. What is going on in Chicago? -

My sincere apologies for not updating the roster, I'd actually been getting the updates but has been swamped with maintaining the other parts of TTMG. I did update roster today with information that is current as of Dec 1st. 2009. Click Here To View Garage Roster We've also updated the CTA Fleet Roster to match the new and more informative look of our New Jersey Transit and New York MTA Fleet Rosters. Thank you for the roster. I still refer to them as Advantages for the sake of it, I know Gillig dropped the name. Or better yet the Gillig Box-O-Boredum and Gillig Box-O-Excitement depending upon whether its the standard low floor or the low floor with the extra body package. My website is, www.ttmg.org. The Direct Link to my current Minneapolis pages are http://www.ttmg.org/...cpt-gillig.html for Gillig, http://www.ttmg.org/...i/mcpt-nfi.html for New Flyer and http://www.ttmg.org/...bombardier.html for Bombardier. Enjoy!

Hey All: Got a Question... Whats the highest number of the 40'Foot Gillig Advantages (The 1100s, 71/7200s), trying to make sure my Metro Transit Gillig Page is accurate, any help is appreciated Regards

Thats because I have it locked out so that only the admins can update it, we had people vandalizing the rosters so I had to turn off that "open" feature. Thanks for the update, I'll adjust that now.

Though the bus may have been "scrapped," its still on the property. Which doesn't necessarily negates its completely gone. That could me anything from the bus sitting there while they pick off parts to they may attempt to fix the bus.

Hey all, thanks for those that continually contribute to the information, we have been able to keep somewhat of an accurate account of what buses are where... CTA Garage Assignment Roster The said roster was updated earlier today.

Thank you for the warm welcome and the kind words about TTMG. I hope you continue to enjoy the photos, videos, sounds clips, rosters and all the other host of things we provide over at TTMG. 11 Years....I had no idea when I started TTMG or what was Trevor's Bus Page back in 1998 that it would grow so big! I would also like to say that THIS site is awesome, I love the layout, also the wealth of information about Chicago. I visit Chicago at least twice a year so the information shared here helps when I visit. I should be visiting in May.

I don't think the offer was out there in the first place. I got permission to make our roster with the information I received. Also, I'm not on a "mailing" list, I get my info on request, not in some daily e-mail. So I don't know what your are talking about there. As for the "cult of the roster" bull, you keep that BS with whomever you have an issue with prior to dealing with me. I invited people here to post what they see out there because as I said in a previous post, I don't burn my bridges and would rather only call my contacts in an extreme situation.
-
Are you serious, how old are you? Come on now, if you know ANYTHING about maintaining connections and not burning bridges, you NEVER give names and phone numbers out to internal connections, I Never have and don't plan on starting.

Oh and we KNOW about Chicago not using the term DEPOT, thats why if you LOOK at the roster, it says Kedzie Garage, 74th Garage, 103rd Garage. The name of the file is just Bus Depot Roster, because we keep page names uniform at TTMG. But ON the roster they are called GARAGES. Please Have A Nice Day and Cut It Out!

We shift buses EVERYDAY in New York. As a a matter of fact we move more buses around weekly than any other operation in the US as of right now. Every two weeks is a joke. Oh, forgot to mention, It does help that I'm best friends with one of CTA's Ops managers which is how I obtained the April 1st Fleet roster. So I do have some inside information at the touch of my phone. If you have a problem with us maintaining the roster, then you do it. Otherwise, sit back relax and appreciate that someone out there is trying it, instead of being "Mr. Negative."

Not to be a smart ass, but speak for yourself. We don't operate on a "Can't Do" function at TTMG. We enjoy maintaining rosters, and we maintain a NYMTA which consist of close to 5000 buses, NJT roster which is close to 2000 buses, SEPTA and so on. We can handle Chicago's system, don't see anyone IN chicago doing it, are you gonna do it? If the guys that have already "contributed" to helping keep helping, then it can be done. Thats how things get done, Teamwork.
