rmadisonwi Posted August 25, 2008 Report Share Posted August 25, 2008 In reality, I don't think they made any distinction between the 4300s, 4400s, and 4600s in terms of assignments to any specific runs/routes. At MCTS (at least, as of a few years ago), the 4300s were the only buses with Automatic Passenger Counters (and only just under half of the 4300 fleet had them), so sometimes they were assigned to wherever they needed counts. Otherwise, 4300s, 4400s and 4600s all being the same capacity, and approximately the same age (within two years), the fleets were all pretty much interchangeable.
