Guest
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVrRWHY Theres a problem with the link, but if you type in "Cooley High Part 1" watch the scene 1:58 into the movie clip. You will see CTA GMC #388 and #1515 on the #70 Division route. This movie was filmed in 1975 in the Cabrini Green area. The driver of #1515 looks like my dad. I wish there was some way to verify this. My dad was with CTA three years at the time this movie was filmed and he worked out of North Ave. Garage where #1515 was assigned. Good scene!! You would know exactly if that is your dad or not, but stopping at the right point gives a fairly clear look at the driver...it would be cool to know if it is....you'd always have that memory. The one thing I missed about that series of bus is the fact that the numbers on the 1000's and 7400's orginally came in with the number under the windshield, as 1515 has here. The 9000's started the numbers over the bumper and for some reason, everything changed. As a stickler for detail...388 northbound on Stockton stopping at the Zoo with a Soldier Field destination sign. You could also tell they prepped that bus for the movie, with the fresh green paint on the wheels.
