west towns
I noticed on many of the full service lines, the last train of the day (around 12:25-40) were pushed back to depart the Chicago terminals at 1:15am on New Years Day. My guess is to allow people time to get back to the stations from festivities. But is this really enough time to get from Navy Pier, hotels etc to the stations? Why not leave at 1:30 to let more time to get over to the station and still feel they got their evening worth. Anyone know what MTA does in New York for New Year's eve with last trains on some of their suburban lines?
