busfan4022
I read the thread on new seats on the Novas(6400 series). That reminded me of a similar story. I was riding #87, back in Dec. when I rode a Nova. I cant remeber the number(sorry if Im no help!).But near the exit doors there were 4 new seats. They were almost the same as the regular cta bus seats. Instead it was longer, bigger, and didn't have the same cta logo as the others. Im just wandering whats going on with the new seats. Are these buses just used for the *experimental*seats. And why aren"t other buses having them?
Kevin
Two Novas were retrofitted with two different types of experimental seating a couple years ago. The CTA doesn't have plans to update the seating on current buses, with the exception of the initial New Flyers that are being delivered. They will be retrofitted with new seating once the manufacture provides them.
