British Double Deck Bus in Iowa City, IA

I was born in Iowa City, Iowa, and grew up as a boy until 13 in Davenport, Iowa, about 40 miles away. I remember going to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics quite often as a kid for various tests (Found to be Aspergers, a form of Autistic, there). I vaguely remember a gas station (I think it was) near the hospital, that had an old, somewhat decaying British double deck bus, in traditional London Transport red.

Anyone know if the bus is still there, or what type it was? I remember as a young boy that was one of the highlights of going out that way. Of course, so was crossing a bridge over the CRANDIC electric line track.

Did some Google searching, but found nothing. Most search results yielded me Mega Bus related stuff.
