I don't know about less crowded trains, but you have to admit that skip stop would provide a much more streamlined and efficient service.

Having ridden the Red Line on the stretch between Wilson and Howard, I second that. This is the only part of the rapid transit system I would advocate bringing back skip-stop service on.

You COULD also improve the situation by redoing the stops and putting them about every half-mile at major streets which would result in about two stops or so getting deleted, but that would cause too much of an uproar so I'm not sure that's recommended.
