Guest Posted March 18, 2007 Report Share Posted March 18, 2007 I was at the CFD Academy yesterday for a training class. I Was able to enter the CFD TMC bus. It looks as if it is under repairs. Some of the panels including the overhead front door panel was being worked on. Panels on the drivers left side werealso removed. Some new decals have been applied to the sides. I was able to sit in the drivers seat, adjusted the seat and worked the telescopic steering wheel. It has CFD radios installed on the front dash where the farebox once stood. A new left mirror has been installed. The decal indicating the garage the bus was assigned to on the front windshield is still there. The firefighters on my rig knowing I was once a CTA operator, were asking me about the bus . It looks as if the battery was disconnected because the bus master switch was turned all the way to CL/ID lamps. It was great to see the bus again.
