trainman8119
On today's (July 10) ABC7 Chicago website (http://abclocal.go.com/wls/), there is a story about a threat made to the 911 center. A caller made contact at 8:22am and told the operator that the Kimball Ave Station would blow up in 12 minutes. By my calculation, that would be 8:34 am. However, the story goes on, the station was not evacuated and closed until 8:57am. So, the threat was real enough to close the station and investigate, but had there been an explosive the people who would have been there would have been gone or badly hurt about 24 minutes before anyone decided to evacuate and close the station. Good that it was a false alarm and that all is well, but I think someone ought to look real hard at that 24 minutes.
