Guest metralink Posted December 16, 2007 Report Share Posted December 16, 2007 Fact: The RTA passed their proposed 2008 budget which includes service cuts and fare increases for the 3 service boards beginning January 20th. Fact: Rep Madigan has come out and said he won't call for a vote next week in the house. Question: Will the service cuts go in on January 20th or will Springfield provide action to preserve transit by the 20th. If they do act will it be: 1) status que to get through the next year 2) provide a long term funding solution which only preserves the current system but with no expansion 3) provides a long term solution with significant funds to both preserve and expand the system.
