  4. We have 25 CNG buses in the fleet (Eldorado National CheesyRiders), the General Manager wants to use CNGT because its cheaper than diesel and clean burning. Metro also introduced a new website gogreenmetro.com. Basically he wants an all CNG bus fleet. James Roach MEtroLINK 9013
  5. It's been finalized, Metro in Rock Island has chose New Flyer of America to build 8 New Flyer C40LF buses to be delivered by the end of the year. Metro piggybacked with MARTA of Atlanta Ga. Another 8 buses are expected sometime in 2010 as well. The C40LF's will replace the aging 1991 Orion 01.508's and 4 1996 New Flyer D40LF's in need of replacement. I will have pictures as soon as they are available. James Roach MetroLINK 9013
  6. The Milwaukee Orions are still in service but mainly used for school service. They also run some Ex appleton 35' Orion V's as well. James Roach MetroLINK 9013
  7. It doesnt, but my contact at the bus in honolulu says you can see where it said 7800 inside the bus.
  8. Ex CTA 7800 has found new life in paradise! Now numbered 999 for the bus in Honolulu Hawaii. Story attached: What's red, white, blue and environmentally green? That would be the new bus the city unveiled today as part of a month-long demonstration project. The Compo bus is 45 feet long. It's shorter than an articulated bus, but longer than a regular bus, so it can carry more passengers. The bus is made of a composite material, making it lighter and more fuel-efficient, and it can be installed with either a hybrid propulsion system or clean diesel technology. The bus will be put into service next week, initially on TheBeachBus route. It will also be tested on a variety of routes, such as Route 1, Route 40 and Route 52 around the island. Though you would like to know. James Roach busfreak99
