BusHunter
Seen something somewhat interesting this weekend. #7574 has a luggage rack on it. One at the rear across from the rear door and the other is on the right side really close to the middle axle of the bus. Most likely this is for the slow zone work coming up on the O'Hare to Harlem section of the Blue line. Reminds me of the old luggage racks that used to be on blue line railcars #3181 - #3200. I guess when figuring NABI transfers to Kedzie this bus will most likely stay at NP.

As for the luggage racks on Blue Line cars, it was a good idea that never really took off. They were not utilized very much, you still found brainless individuals blocking the aisle, occupying seats with their bags. I remember how annoying it was, you rarely saw anyone placing their bags up on the racks. Some cars even had racks in the rear of the car, its still a problem today. Im happy that the new 5000 series cars will have the bowling alley type seating. Maybe there will be less of a problem of blocked aisles.
