rmadisonwi
A couple of corrections: The 5000s only go up to 5008 Also, this roster shows buses being retired up to the 3300 series Neoplan buses. In reality, everything up through the 3900 Gilligs are retired. I'm told, also, that the 4200 series D30LFs are in storage.

mbta9244
Nice work on the roster! One thing I noticed in addition to others comments is that the 2004-2006 D40LF's have Cummins ISC engines? I am pretty sure those would be the Cummins ISL as I am pretty sure the ISC has been out of production for some time now. Its possible that the 2004's have ISC, but I have not heard of any NFI D40LF's built after 2003 that had ISC's.
rmadisonwi
I don't know about specific models of Cummins engines, but can tell from the sound that the 4800s-5000s have a different engine than the 4400s-4700s. Anyway, there's a "ride-in" on MCTS's special generations bus on route #68 Sunday afternoon. Can't do fantrips on transit buses anymore due to the new FTA rules that basically prohibit transit systems from doing anything except for regular service. So, the next best thing is to assign a special bus on a lightly used route for a day and let the fans take pictures of it along the route.
