what kind of buses were on diversey and belmont ?

hello , im from colorado springs area but , i used to live on diversey and clyboure aves in the 1960-70s . when my dad was working at stewart and warner there. but as i was growing up there . i used to ride on fullerton and belmont and damen avenues , but i never knew what kind of "trolley" buses were then and the diversey 76 buses then. was they were ?? old style , flxiables ??and new style flxes??and the turn -around was at clark street there.i wonder what kind of buses// were then ? any body knows??thanks..

There were never any trolley buses east of Western on Diversey. The only trolley route was west of Western, and that was abolished in 1955 (according to Lind), when the old CMC route 34 was combined with 76.

Since, in the latter years, it and Addison were run out of Keeler barn, it probably had 8500 series new look Flxs with the parallelogram windows.

If your reference to trolley buses was to Belmont, in the late 60s and early 70s, the trolley buses were Marmon Herringtons, as older brands were phased out by then.

well, thanks for the reply there. i lived and my brother graduated from lane tech high school there. the place. i used to lived was called the "projects" there. the bus # for elston- clyborne was # 28 and i taken the #151 sheridan and the other bus on the wilson-lasalle run . i came out from schinider school in the 1960s there.and when i was "little". i taken the subway or elevated from belmont to jefferson park when it opened in 1970s..i guess im that "old"..thanks..

I guess your memory is weak there, too. Elston-Clyborn was 41. 28 was and is Stony Island.

yes, youre right.. it was #41 bus. and damen bus was #50 there.yes i guess im a little bit old there..im colorado springs the mmt bus what we have is the gillig phantom and the gilig new low-floor and new flyers..here. i know 22# clark bus there.thanks
