Also, how dose Metra count the money/receipts from conductors? How dose metra cont the money form on board fairs and make sure the conductors are no pocketing it?

Trainmen complete daily paperwork turning in all receipts. Over the years, statistics are kept,

giving management an idea of how much should be turned in on a particular job combination,

or train. If the state kept as close a watch on their money as Metra does, there would not

be a budget crisis.

While on that topic where do most conductors turn in there remits? Do they do this at downtown stations such as ogolvie or union? Or at outlaying stations such as Waukegan or Fox Lake? Please let me know thank you.

Remits are usually done at a terminal. So for example, the ticket agents at Fox Lake and Elgin can take remits at their window. Most are done downtown, however.

What if a conductor made a mistake on a cash fair can he write "void" on booth

the auditors stub and the passenger receipt, and present booth copies when

remitting.

If there is a void, you keep both receipts and punch cancel (3 punches) the ticket then turn them in with your receipts.
