There was nothing really special about the order as far as I'm aware. However, the 5800s which were ordered about the same time as the 6000s, were more of a "special" order as they were the first low floor CTA buses. Quote

And My Jaw Dropped When I Found A 6000 Parked On 103rd Street At A Popeyes(Maybe The Driver Was Having His Lunch Or The Bus Was Broke Down) It Was In 2003 Quote
