andrethebusman Posted March 19, 2014 Report Share Posted March 19, 2014 8400-8498 Flxible 35-foot dispositions8416-8426 retired as 10-20, 15 and 17 were loaned to Chicago Fire Dept for a short time before being sold for scrap. 13 became BW49, painted dark green, used as the bus stop sign installer's bus, soon broke down, 4/28/76 to Pielet8476 retired as 0, eventually sold to David BuzekThe 15 buses shown as MC1 thru MC15 were loaned to the Model Cities Program, painted with a wide yellow stripe on beltrail, used for "community activities" such as transporting children to summer daycamp. Retired with those numbers, MC1 became DC1, used to train garage personnel on then-new computer systems (Data Center 1), sold 8/21/86 to David Buzek thru Omnibus Society of America, sold 1990's for scrap to Illinois Scrap Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
