Mr. CTA: From an operators perspective?

Getting closer to applying for a job at the CTA, I was recently wondering about an aspect of operating an L train that everyone hears: The announcement system. From a passenger's standpoint, the guiding voice on the CTA trains (Mr. CTA) is very helpful, but how do train operators feel when working the system? Is the little machine that controls the voice cumbersome? Any things that train operators like or dislike? Thanks for any responses.
