The media has picked up on the "Transit is the Answer" document. It seems to me that the RTA is using buzzwords and trailing the service boards' programs to advocate for the same types of tax increases for which it advocated the last time (and, in the cases of the .25% sales tax and RETT tax increases, got). I think it needs new ideas, and at least the Sun-Times thinks it is worth public comment.

It's true that some of the proposed solutions may feel familiar, and there is certainly room for much debate on how to best approach transportation funding. Right now it just seems like its increases without tangible results
