jesi2282
Took a trip up to the Highland Park Public Works Garage to see some of the Orion I's used during Ravinia concerts. I was able to take lots of pictures, very fun day! Here are some of the buses that are there (25 total, not including the 2600's that are based there) There are a large number of 8900's (8900, 8903, 8906, 8915, 8917, 8918, 8920, 8921 just to name a few) There also have one 35ft. 2000 (2062) They also have a few 2100's (2102, 2118, 2122, 2128) And they also began recive some 2200 & 2300's (2292, 2299, 2300, 2323 & 2330)

Since the other 2000s in that service (2025 and 2052) were on the to sell list, that must be the end of the 2000s on feeder service. BTW 2275 and 2276 were also with that contractor, and since NS needed 2 fewer buses, I guess that is where they went. 2292, 2299, 2323 would explain what happened to some of the 2300s in Wheaton area service, which were replaced by 2727-2735. However, I would think that Academy would have a greater need for them than HP. 2092 is a 40 footer. The 35 footers only went up to 2084. 2125 was on the to sell list. jesi2282
Your right, sorry! After looking at my photos again, 2125 isn't there (I don't know why I wrote that) Your also right about 2092, my mistake! I guess that makes 2062 literally the last 35ft. 2000 is service. Busjack
2318 is also up there (crossing off another DuPage bus). Something went by real fast on Lake Cook Road that looked like 2317, but I'm not sure. It was also odd seeing a crowd trying to pack into 2638 in the parking lot south of Laurel, especially when there were 5 or 6 40 footers still lined up between Central and Elm.
