Busjack
Hi Folks; This should really be considered an incorrectly programmed announcement. I was riding Novabus #6421 this morning [7/30/09] northbound on route #1 when I heard an announcement stating "this is a clean air hybrid bus purchased with federal stimulus funds". Obviously someone goofed. Gene KingAccording to John Kass, maybe not. It might be interesting if someone explained how the "public service messages" are programmed into the Clever Device, and whether it can be done distinguishing between buses, as opposed to run numbers. Is it similar to the P/R message programming and selection in the headsigns? Also, does "Mr. CTA" have to be called in to do an obvious new one like this? kendo26
I think all busses have that announcement! I rode a 6000 and a 1500 on the 44 and a 6600 on the 62 and they all made that announcemnt. It's too funny!

PSAs can only be activated for the entire fleet. The only real options are if it will show up on the TCH and if it will play randomly. You list PSAs in a rank so that the higher the rank the more often it will randomly be played.

The postable event would be a bus that doesn't have it.
Zol87
I heard that too on the 54A near the Swift this afternoon on a Nova 6400 bus.
jajuan
Bus 907 had the announcement too when I rode it on the 12 early yesterday morning. At least it was correct that it was a hybrid bus though not one of the stimulus ones.

At least it was correct that it was a hybrid bus though not one of the stimulus ones. I reported the issue through the mystery shopper program and got the following response: "We shared your information with our General Manager of Data Analytics, who let us know that he was aware of the programming error and has corrected it on most buses. You may notice a few buses playing the incorrect message today, but they should all be reprogrammed by next week."
