The original question undoubtedly had to do with that private contractors who provided customer assistants are being replaced by CTA employees. There were job fairs for this.

However, I don't have an answer to the original question.

A brief aside: There is a recent stink that the Part Timers are getting preference over the Full Timers on the job scheduling board, but that seems similar to the unsuccessful grievance regarding bus driver layoffs in 2010. Tribune story.

i was wondering how long it takes to be hired(i applied for the customer
service asst position, i did the drug test( i dont do drugs) physical i
passed, eye and hearing exams i passed both and they even called the
non for profit place i volunteer at to verify that, all of that was in
early may and here it is mid july and not even a call or letter to let
me know my status, that seems a bit unprofessional, anyone know a way to
check your status ? i tried HR several times they said someone would
call smh.
