MRChiCity Posted July 5, 2023 Author Report Posted July 5, 2023 Well PACE Northshore has not the Wilmette fireworks shuttle since 2019, I suspect that the ongoing man-power shortages are a large part of the reason why. BTW how bad is the man power shortage across the various divisions? Quote

Only thing relevant (other than there will be a bus) is that the lot is at Loyola Academy instead of Edens Plaza. How it goes "direct" doesn't matter, unless the riders get stuck in a traffic jam. Also. $4.50 seems a bit steep. Quote

I figure it will go down Lake, as it's a large arterial directly from the academy to gilson park. $4.50 is a bit pricey, but for the intended audience, it is reasonable enough. I do wonder, why not old orchard? Quote

Any thoughts as to why this was done? Quote
MRChiCity Posted June 29 Author Report Posted June 29 Watched the June park board meeting video, The park district is augmenting the service with two of there buses and drivers. Quote
MRChiCity Posted August 13 Author Report Posted August 13 The July and August park board meetings mentioned that the service was a relative success although ridership was low. The August park board meeting mentioned that they are looking at bringing some version of the service back next year. Possibly adding two additional stops along lake and adding one to the Ryan field lots. How they would accomplish that I don't know Quote
