And as far as I know there has never been a CTA bus route operating along 138th, other than a short spurt between Leyden and Indiana Avenues. I checked some old CTA maps. They have the 34 ending at 138th and not actually going on 138th except for that very short stretch to turn around. Is 138th actually a major street? Just wondering.
