Passenger
Last Friday I was on the Red Line going south from Fullerton early in the morning, and we got an announcement from the motorman that the train was being held due to train being stuck behind us. Can that be correct, and if so why? Thank you.

Depending on the problem, had your train kept its schedule, there could've been a wide gap between the two trains causing overcrowding on that train or the one behind it should that train be forced to run Express. Seeing that it was early, it was probably better to stagger the trains in front of the stuck one. It does happen from time to time.
