Archon Posted April 27, 2007 Report Share Posted April 27, 2007 IT seems there is a Problem with the 1996 New Flyer Drive shafts Being a Allison Detroit S-50 pair. The bolts that hold the shaft to to the transmission become's loose or out of round and break's off. Yes tonite on Bus 4035 While I was going down Howard ave the driveshaft fell off the transmission. It took part of the Transmission with it too. Made one Hell of a noise too. When I looked under the back the shaftf was hanging down and the hose's where laying on the ground and all the fluid was comming out. Needless to say the bus was towed away.
