MetroLINK9013
The IPTA (Illinois Public Transportatioin Association) Conference was in Moline today. Spotted a New Pace Para-Transit bus demoing. Looks sharp! James MetroLINK 9013
Busjack
Very interesting. Besides the prominent logo strip, it has a right truck door (instead of the passenger door being there), black masking around the windows, and a more streamlined cap over the cab. No indication of fleet number, however.

Busjack
The Pace budget indicates on page 15 (page 19 of the pdf) that they are Champion Crusaders for local/municipal based services (caption under the picture).
Busjack
Pace just sent out an e-mail announcement that the first of these are in Rich Township, with another 28 to be deployed this year. The advantage supposedly is that they are bigger than a van, but smaller than the usual paratransit vehicle. As an aside, I also remember when Rich Twp. was considered rich. Busjack
Also received Pace e-mails that they are also in Joliet and Wheeling. So I guess people can check it out at various extremities of the region.
