Is PACE still planning on the proposed changes for 2008 like:

Elimination of Route 382/ replaced by 386 in Clearing Area.

Route 383 to Lincoln Mall/ Matteson

Route 379 to Orland Square

And more.

Does anyone know?

Plus Route 747 Du Page expansion to West Chicago?

the proposed changes are suppose to be happening now, but I don't know what is taking so

long - pace claims more funding is needed but most of the changes don't reqiure much time nor funding

As noted, any increased service would require funding. I previously commented on why Pace has not yet implemented parts such as that 355 would be cut back and not run north of Sibley, but apparently the governor's money is contingent on not cutting any service. Without cutting some service, there isn't the money to implement the rest of the plan. At least they cut 835 before the current bailout conditions.

Don't expect any changes (other than a doomsday plan) if the so called funding crisis is not resolved.
