Hi,

We are making buses for GTA San Andreas. We designed several european buses. But there´s still no good american Bus for this game.

So we started to make an American bus. It looks like a New Flyer D40LF (about 90-95%).

We live in germany. That´s why we have no chance to take pics of details etc.

I registered here, to ask you, if somebody can take his camera and can take some pictures for us.

We need detailshots of D40LF. If somebody have interest, i can make a list of required pics.

Here is the current status of it:

kind regards

There are lots of photos of D40LF buses on this site.

Go to this page: http://www.chicagobus.org/photos

Click on the links for the 5800 series or 1000 series buses. In addition, there are photos of the DE40LF (800 and 900 series hybrids) on that page as well.

I also have photos of different bus types on my website at http://community.webshots.com/user/rmadisonwi - simply click on links for "Vancouver low-floor diesels" or Milwaukee transit photos (for example), for other D40LF photos.

I have about 150 photos, but more are welcome, thank you

What i exactly need are detail photos like the "door-mechanic" which is totally different from the mechanic we use in germany (ours is hidden behind a rubber-flap at the outside) . Like the "hinges" on the doors outside, driver´s place, etc.

I will make it detailed as possible

I've seen the game and the prior GTA games. All of them have great graphics as to the city. I was kind of hoping for a mass transit system to be created when the last game came out. But when it comes to buses, there's really no point as only a couple of coach buses are to be found. If only there was the option of transporting passengers... then I would surely buy this game when it comes out. Do you have any details as to the game itself?

GTA San Andreas is ol, it´s basing on GTA3. It just use a modified graphics-engine

We received a script, which allows to use indicators, open bus doors, driving busroutes, passengers enter your bus, etc. It´s a small step to more realism. This script works, but we must find out how it works, to fit our bus to it.

Due the polycount (the models are made out of triangles (polies)) this bus will be released for GTA IV, if this game really comes for PC. (official GTA IV site : http://www.rockstargames.com/IV/ )

But anyway, i still need some pictures to finish my model :)

After seeing this topic, I decided to help you out. I didn't have a Digi-cam on hand, and I didn't exactly ride the D40LF. Instead, I can give you back images of the DE60LF instead, which has a similar door mechanism to the D40LF.

The bus depicted is a Seattle King County Metro New Flyer DE60LF, Bus 2780 running route 72. I apologize for the quality and the angle, as I am using a cell-phone cam and wasn't sitting in quite the right seat to take good shots.
