amartin1982
Yesterday, I was at 69th red line el catching the 30 South Chicago bus going southbound to Brandon/Brainard and I went to Hegewisch Branch library after I got off at Main Park on 130th and Exchange. A bus from 69th south to Hegewisch. I enjoy the bus running southeast with the elevated railroad and Chicago Skyway that going to Indiana. How many of you went up in the historic Hegewisch neighborhood out south? Thanks, Alfie B)

Thanks, Alfie I can remember route 30 being the South Chicago-Ewing bus, later becoming the South Chicago - Ewing Express and presently the South Chicago bus. Also prior to the creation of the Dan Ryan rapid transit the north terminal was 63rd Street and King Drive. In the 40 plus years that I have seen this bus I have yet to ride it! One day I'll have to get the camera and get on it!
