Busjack
This situation is temporary, since the Green line's 2400s have apparently started to break down again... Supposedly, 10. However, with those 3200s being moved around, 2600s from the Howard Yard normally assigned to the Red Line have been doing runs on the Yellow Line as fill-ins. Probably only as fill ins, in that I rode 3455-3456 and 3457-3458 on the Yellow Line the other day. After the 3rd rail was completed, there did seem to be a swap between the 3440s and 3450s between the Brown and Yellow. What would tend to deter swaps is that the Yellow Line cars had Yellow Line maps over the doors (not like that makes much difference, with only terminal stops, and not that it is a complete deterrent, as I have seen Red Line maps on Purple Line trains). I was impressed by the ads on the ceiling, especially the really hot ones for Dentyne on 3456. May as well maximize revenue.
