sw4400
Has NABI agreed to look into and repair the defects in the 7500 Series Buses, or will the CTA have to either... A) Hire a private contractor to take a small group of the buses(like 15-30 at a time) and do a emergency overhaul of each to correct the problems or.... Return the Articulateds to NABI, most likely sue to get the money put down on them so far, and then place a new bid out there for new Articulated Buses? BTW: The oldest 7500's are only like two years of age now. It makes you wonder if that celing fire in the one is yet another defect. I guess we'll know if the CTA wishes to let the public know what was the cause of that fire.
venom_20
When neoplan had to take back our low-floors for frame work, they gave us loaner buses until they were done. That seems to be the best way without losing bus service.

venom_20
They were rusting and cracking way too early. so they were rotated in and out of service with the loaners to make up for the ones that were gone.
