Flxs at 103rd Garage

To be honest, I don't really know why the 1995 Flxibles were originally at 103rd, maybe because of shortage of buses, since 103rd at the time was only 1991 Flxibles and the TMCs, and since they were close to their retirement, they probably constantly had a few broken down, and couldn't send them out.

As for the Flxibles leaving, it's because 103rd starting receiving New Flyers to replace some of the older equipment, and also to follow Huberman's plan to consolidate the buses to "save" money. They then went to 74th, with some reassignments of the other 6000s to Forest Glen. Then in September, some of the early Flxibles went to Chicago and Kedzie garages to be placeholders (or I assumed them to be) for the incoming 4000s. This also made room for 74th to receive New Flyers at that time.

*Note: All of the above is my opinion and interpretation of the scenario of what I thought happened, based on the information that is available on this forum. Please make any changes or corrections that may not be correct or true, since I do not have the whole picture of what/why the above happened.

Also, there was the unexplained swap of 103rd's 5300s to 77th in exchange for an equivalent number of 77th's buses, which included about 30 6000s that previously had not been transferred to K, and then to FG to K to 74th to K to FG to 74th or NP. Got that?

Well in light of all remaining NABIs immediately pulled from service as of rush hour today, 6000s may make a return back to 103rd if some other model doesn't go there. Here's the chance to see different models at the garages some think have too many NFs (K, NP, 103...). Personally I don't mind seeing Novas at K over anymore 6000s.

Gotcha, thanks for the added note. :)
