T8H5307A
"weird New Flyers" If the buses could talk, I wonder how they would describe you?

With the love of fuel wasting at CTA, it is not uncommon to see buses all over God's creation...therefore a bus with a 7 on it is not all that weird these days either. One question I do have on the reassignments though...if CTA was on to the ultimate demise of the NABIs, why did they send 1400's to Chicago instead of just keeping them at North Park and letting the 1300's stay at Chicago ?????????? :o
BusHunter
1386 as of saturday night has a "C" and a "P" in the windshield, along with a strange looking non-slip floor. #1384 - 86 always had that floor. #1658 has a black one. A day or so before I saw this bus, I was thinking about how much the CTA should considering changing to a non-slip floor (as ive seen tons of people - including myself slip and fall on these floors when they are wet). Probably not ideal today given the financial environment, but I lived in St. Louis for a long time and they switched to a floor that looks and feels like sandpaper about 8 years ago. Then you would have loved the #5900's. They also had an unfinished black floor. Personally I don't really care for that kind of floor. It looks like they forgot to put in the floor. It makes the bus look cheap. Most falls i've witnessed were in the stairwells, especially in the winter when slush would accumulate on the stairs. Now that most buses are low floors they should be safer with less falls.

Yea, now they just fall entering/exiting the bus!
