buslist Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Not sure I've seen any discussion of the alternate paint schemes used on some of the 1975 bowls (9000-9599) that were used for a short time by suburban RTA properties awaiting new RTA buses (1976 4523As, #8000-8155?). These were later used by the CTA in the modified scheme and often refered to as "albinos", sorry for the non PC name. Quote

When they came in they were at West Towns (I would guess among others) using 400 and 500 series numbers. When the CTA got em they went to Forest Glen adding a 9 before the number to create 9400 and 9500 series buses. Quote
