Looking up MV locations, the closest ones to the Lisle/Westmont area is in Melrose Park or Carol Stream. Each of the 660s route operate 1 bus. Certain bus numbers or equivalent were identified in the proposal. The Pace Route Finder indicates MV Transportation Batavia for most of the Wheaton contract, although there are also 2 other MVs on the pull down. That, however, seems too far from Hinsdale. Busjack Posted May 11, 2018 Report Share Posted May 11, 2018 The May Board video has some insight on this oldie of a topic. At issue was the Wheaton-Lombard contract. Since MV already had it, one would think "no big deal," but there were complications that while it was not the low bid, it won on technical considerations such as maintenance and training. It was also stated that bringing the work in house was considered, but any cost saving from having FV do it was overcome by the cost of deadhead mileage to central DuPage County.
