westing
Millennium Park Plaza is remodeling its lobby in preparation for a new apartment tower. You might have noticed all the retail spots along Michigan Ave close in the last year. In the renderings for the remodeled lobby is an entrance to the Millennium Metra station. Metra has not given any confirmation but the developers have made plans that would allow for the incorporation of an entrance at a latter date. It seems the additional entrance on the north side of the street would be a welcomed addition for such a busy station. Even though there are other entrances directly from buildings, this street entrance would be a much more pleasant entrance than the walk down the dilapidated unheated Pedway tunnel on the S/W corner. What do you think? See renderings

Busjack
I don't know, considering there is an entrance from 150 N Michigan, 205- 225 N Michigan also has an entrance. They gussied up the "subway" entrance on Randolph near the Cultural Center, which is good enough for me. Now, if they would only bring back the broasted chicken stand that used to be on that pedway. Going through the forum to which westing linked, it appears just that someone is building a building that may have a Metra entrance to it--not a Metra project. With the current real estate market, you wonder if a rendering is going to be built, but as art indicates, there isn't anything very unique about a building on that corner having access to Metra.
