sw4400 Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 At the website www.hopetunnel.org they have a picture of CTA Bus #5526 at the 77th St. Garage. Anyone know what happened to this bus? It looks like something "big" smashed the left rear of this bus, ultimately destroying it. Quote
trainman8119 Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 At the same Hope Tunnel Website, there is a pic of 6101 @ Forest Glen. In the Background there are a couple of new look buses, what appears to be a GM and 2 Flxibles (one may be a 3700). Anyone know about those ???? Upon further review, in another section, the buses are 301, 3706, 3398 (131) and 8499. The pics were taken in the yard at Forest Glen this past September. Quote

Note that all the emergency exit windows on the left side are open. There a couple of Flxibles currently on the scrap line that look like they hit el pillars. The New Looks at Forest Glen are the CTA museum buses. 3398 was an early paratransit bus; it was fitted with a wheelchair lift and renumbered 131 in 1981. Quote
