Do CTA New Flyer buses use a Electronic Chime are a regular Bell. MCTS's 4000-4100 originally had the Electronic Chime but were quickly changed to the regular Bell and all future buses came with the regular Bell The electronic bell would start to make weird sounds.

What type of Chime does The NOVA Bus use?

I'm pretty sure that now all use an electronic tone through the Automatic Voice Annunciation System (Clever Devices).

The stop request chimes on the New Flyers are electronic, but they are not through AVAS. They are through the bus PLC (programmable logic computer). This is why the bell actually works, even when AVAS is broken. The "STOP REQUESTED" sign at the front of the bus was replaced with the AVAS display, however.

Nova buses have the regular bell.
