Orion I vs TMC Model T-30 (Citycruiser)

Okay bus enthusiasts!

In going through my old transit photos from 1979-1981, I found this http://www.flickr.com/photos/52209513@N03/6349490486/ photo of a Quincy Transit Lines TMC Model T-30 (Citycruiser).

Is it me, or did the Citycruiser bear a striking resemblence to the Orion Model I http://busexplorer.com/PHP/MidPage.php?id=269 ? Was the Citycruiser an early version of the Model I? Or did TMC and Orion simply use the same basic shell? I know that GMC, TMC and Nova all built versions of the RTS, so maybe it's a similar story?

Here's a better view of a QTL Citycruiser (not mine though) http://www.ttmg.org/photos/jpappas/Quincy_TMC_8003.jpg

You can search for it, but it appears that TMC licensed the design from Ontario Bus Industries (i.e. here).

This did prove to be of some use to me: Due to my sometimes flaky memory (Thanks to pain meds for back and knee issues!), I always thought 'Citycruiser' was a name given by Orion to their Orion I. To think I have occasionally (and incorrectly) referred to the 2300s at North as "Orion I Citycruisers!". Sigh.

EDIT: Forgot to add thanks for the Qunicy bus photos. My mother grew up on a farm near Camp Point, about 25 miles away. She has told me of when she was a child, her mom, my grandma, would take her into "town" (Quincy), and park somewhere, then ride the buses to their various destinatons.

I have lots of relatives in that area on my mother's side. I fondly remember as a kid going to visit my grandparents on the farm. The treat for me came when grandma would take me on the buses as she did my mom.
